A Big Week Of Cider In Oregon

Oregon played host to an amazing week of craft ciders.  Cider Summit, Cider Week and the Portland International Cider Cup

With 29 tables and over 100 ciders, Portland kicked off a big week of cider with its third annual cider summit. Held on June 21st and June 22, the event expanded to two days and was once again held at Elizabeth Caruthers Park.

Cider Summit PDX added a  “dog lounge” and a bicycle valet, . Cider fans received a collectible tasting glass. The event continued its tradition with live music and a “bottles to go” store on site. .

Portland International Cider Cup

In addition to Portland’s Cider Summit and Cider Week, Reverend Nat’s played host to the annual Portland International Cider Cup held on June 23rd, 2013.

This non-BJCP competition had 9 style categories in addition to Best of Show and Large and Small Cidery of the Year.

Meridale Ciderworks from Cobble Hill, B.C had a great day winning 9 awards including best of show. . Montana Ciderworks from Sula, Montana went home with 4 awards including honorable mentioned and Small Cidery of the Year.  To see the full list of winners visit Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider.

Oregon Cider Week 2013


The Northwest Cider Association hosted the second annual Oregon Cider Week, a 9 day celebration of craft cider that started on June 21st 2013.

Local Oregon establishments hosted events such as cider cocktails, cider flights, cider classes, food pairings and meet the cider makers.  If you missed this year’s event, don’t worry; there will be another one next year.  For more information, stay up to date with the North West Cider Association..
